Masjid al-Qiblatayn
The "mosque of two qiblas", where the qibla turned from Jerusalem to the Kaaba.
Masjid al-Qiblatayn takes its name from "two qiblas". It is known as the place where the command came to turn the direction of prayer from Masjid al-Aqsa in Jerusalem to the Kaaba in Mecca.
According to the narration the congregation changed direction in the middle of the prayer, and the mosque has been remembered ever since as having two qiblas.
It is a fixed stop on our Medina city tour.
This visit is included in our Umrah programmes.
