Hudaybiyyah
Where the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was made; one of the places to enter ihram for an additional Umrah.
Hudaybiyyah lies about 20 kilometres west of Mecca on the old Jeddah road and is also known today as al-Shumaisi. In the sixth year after the Hijrah, the Prophet and his Companions, who had set out for Umrah, were stopped here, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was signed between the Muslims and the Meccans.
Because it lies outside the Haram boundary, those staying in Mecca enter ihram here for an additional Umrah. In our programme we first visit the camel farm in the area, then enter ihram at Hudaybiyyah and complete the Umrah at the Haram.
This visit is included in our Umrah programmes.
