Jannat al-Mu'alla
The historic cemetery of Mecca, resting place of Khadijah, the Prophet's wife.
Jannat al-Mu'alla is the oldest cemetery in Mecca. Khadijah, the wife of the Prophet, together with many members of the Prophet's household and companions, are buried here.
The cemetery is within walking distance of Masjid al-Haram. Prayers are offered during the visit, and our guide explains the etiquette of visiting graves in Islam.
This visit is included in our Umrah programmes.
